Contract: Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Contract EP-384.063
Scheduled to be completed in May of 2008 this
27 acre project is a continuation of expressrail expansion at Port Elizabeth’s
Maher Terminal.
The project
included construction of 7 addition railroad tracks – (+-20,000lf),
pulverization of existing pavement, full depth bituminous pavement construction –(60,000
tons), concrete pavement – (5,000 cy), installation of drainage and
water works and 2700 lf of surface trench drain installation.
Excavation
of some 14,000 cy yards included testing and disposal of contaminated waste.
